NATIONAL MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS (MNBA)
A JOURNEY THROUGH THE HISTORY OF CHILEAN ART

Located in Parque Forestal, it is one of the main centers for the promotion of Chilean art. Founded in 1880 and moved to its current building in 1910, it was designed by architect Emilio Jéquier in a style that combines French Neoclassicism, Art Nouveau, and Beaux-Arts. Its impressive facade and ornamental details make it an architectural landmark in the city.

The MNBA houses an extensive collection that spans from the colonial era to contemporary art, with an emphasis on Chilean works. Visitors can appreciate paintings, sculptures, engravings, and drawings by artists such as Pedro Lira, Juan Francisco González, and Roberto Matta. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions and educational activities aimed at bringing art closer to a diverse audience. Admission is free.
