CONSORCIO BUILDING
A PIONEER IN SUSTAINABILITY

Located in the Las Condes district, this iconic project was designed by architects Enrique Browne and Borja Huidobro and completed in 1990. This 17-story corporate building stands out for its curved west-facing façade, designed to align with El Bosque Avenue and Tobalaba Avenue.

Its design incorporates a “double green skin,” an innovative façade that reduces solar absorption and changes appearance with the seasons. The building is vertically zoned: the lower floors were allocated for Consorcio, while the upper levels are used for leasing, with separate access and circulation.

The Consorcio Building has received numerous awards, including the 10th Chilean Architecture Biennial in 1995 and the Bicentennial Work Award in 2009. It was a pioneer in sustainable architecture in Latin America. Its design integrates vegetation and a metallic visor on the upper floors, aiming for harmony with the surroundings and energy efficiency.
