BENEDICTINE MONASTERY OF THE HOLY TRINITY
LIGHT AS A CENTRAL ELEMENT
Located in Las Condes, this architectural work was designed by monks Gabriel Guarda and Martín Correa. Inaugurated in 1964, this religious complex stands out for blending Benedictine tradition with modernity, using noble materials such as stone and wood.
Its architecture is defined by its sobriety and the pursuit of natural light as a central element, creating spaces for contemplation and introspection. The church, with its basilica floor plan and bell tower, rises as a landmark in the landscape. The monastery includes cloisters, monks’ cells, a library, and community spaces, all arranged in harmony with the natural surroundings.
Beyond its religious function, the Benedictine Monastery is recognized for its architectural value and its contribution to the city’s heritage. Its design has been the subject of various studies and accolades.
