COSTANERA CENTER TOWER
THE TALLEST IN SOUTH AMERICA

Standing at an impressive 300 meters with 62 floors, the Gran Torre Costanera is the tallest skyscraper in South America. Although slightly surpassed at the Latin American level in 2020, it remains the third tallest in the Southern Hemisphere.

This glass-and-steel colossus, which redefined Santiago’s skyline, was designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects and is the most iconic element of the Costanera Center real estate project. The complex also includes a shopping mall and additional towers, developed by Watt International and Alemparte Barreda. Construction began in 2006 and faced delays due to the global economic crisis, finally completing in 2014 with a total cost of 600 million dollars.

The tower was the first in Chile to feature high-speed elevators (60 meters in 7 seconds), and its upper floors are home to Sky Costanera—a premier tourist observation deck offering panoramic views of Santiago and the majestic Andes Mountains
